Sewing right along….
Yay! I finished the first CQ block and I’m on to another color…

I’m still undecided…but I think I’m enjoying hand sewing more than I would enjoy wrestling with a sewing machine…plus I set up in the living room in front of old movies, borrowed from the library, and alternate sewing and running to the iron…best of both worlds!!

Mothers Day…
For the past few weeks at school, my sweet five year old has been busy making a surprise for mothers day! He’s been sewing!! This is what he made his mama…
This hand embroidered flower was a project he worked on in the kindergarten’s Métis culture program. Every Tuesday, a much adored lady named Fey, teaches the kids different things about her culture.
And this ‘pansy in a can’ accompanied the sewn flower card, along with one super smiley, very pleased boy (who had one very proud mama)!!!
Hubbie also surprised me with a bouquet of flowers and a wonderful waffle supper!!! Mmmmm….no cooking for the night….I’d take that any day!! LOL
